Wednesday, January 1, 2014 Just minutes after the New Years Ball dropped at Time Square, DC Firefighters were dispatched for a building on fire at 4th and Morse St’s. N.E.
Upon arrival, units found a warehouse with heavy smoke showing, the fire appeared to be on the 1st floor extending to the 2nd floor. It was a very tough fire to get at as the building was well sealed with metal facing on all windows as well as all doors. Firefighters immediately went to work opening up the building and getting lines in place to extinguish the fire. A special alarm for two additional trucks and a working fire dispatch was sounded. DC Firefighters had the fire under control in about 45 minutes, given the conditions upon arrival, it was another spectacular and professional job by D.C.’s Bravest and Best.
