Rescue 1 responed for the report of a motor vehicle collison in the area of 12th St and Rhode Island Ave NE. Units arrived on scene found a motor vehicle collison with one occupant trapped. Rescue 1 arrived on scene and quickly began to extricate the occupant. Once the occupant had been extricared, the patient was handed over to awaiting EMS and transported to a local hospital. Rescue 1 returned to service shortly after.
